The aim of the workshop is to leave attendees with a clear understanding of why they feel nervous, to recognise that nerves are not a marker of weakness but a signal of interest. Through understanding what is happening in our brains and bodies when we feel overwhelmed; when we perceive potential opportunities as threat, or stumble over our words and forget what to say.

We equip attendees with practical ways to regulate these responses in the future. Inspiring attendees through creating a safe environment, where people feel comfortable to explore thinking on their feet in-front of a group and reflect on their professional strengths to inform their unique presentation style. The workshop has applications for those looking to be more confident in meetings, pitches, working or managing others or giving presentations.

After the workshop, 100% of attendees report feeling more confident, 100% of attendees report feeling more capable of putting themselves forward for opportunities such as speaking events or promotions, and over half (53%) of attendees have gone on to speak at conferences, on podcasts or videos.

TESTIMONIAL

Absolutely LOVED having Roar! at Builtvisible HQ running workshops for the whole team. A balance of theory rooted in neuroscience, drawing from past experiences and exercises with real-world application made for three days of hugely rewarding personal development for our team. From how people approach client meetings through to the new people putting themselves forward for speaking gigs, the impact of this approach is already very, very clear. If you're investing in your teams I genuinely couldn't recommend this enough!

CMA TRAINER

CMA Course Trainer: Kirsty Hulse, Roar!

"After finding myself the only female speaker at a conference more than once, I began to give free presentation training to women to try and do my bit, in a small way, to try and balance the playing field.

Speaking to people about the fears they had when it came to public speaking, presenting to clients or sharing ideas in meetings, I realised that providing training on simply how to present wasn't the solution, and this is not a woman only problem.

The solution was to create workshops where all people can learn why they can in the first instance. To help people discover their voice, feel empowered and find the confidence to get on stage, speak up in a team environment or confidently communicate ideas in meetings must come first, then the rest can come together naturally."
